Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer

RARo is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to be part of our newly founded team. The successful candidate should be well-versed at all aspects of quality assurance including in-depth knowledge of different testing methodologies, be able to design and implement software testing frameworks, including unit testing and manual/automated testing.

The role requires experience in developing and testing software and being a customer advocate to ensure delivery of high quality products. The candidate must work well with a team of people who are committed to growing a company at a high speed.

• Creates detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases for software projects
• Estimates, prioritizes, plans and coordinates testing activities
• Identifies, records, documents thoroughly and tracks bugs
• Performs thorough regression testing when issues are resolved
• Develops and applies testing processes for new and existing products to meet customers’ needs
• Performs manual and automated testing
• Drives innovation and streamlines overall testing processes
• Provides estimations of timescales for projects’ work when required
• Understands and contributes to the improvement of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Assists development team with debug/analysis of software products
• Reviews software technical design documents and detailed business requirement documents to identify testing shortfalls
• Collaborates with developers, stakeholders and other SQA team members to ensure comprehensive testing is performed
• Designs and maintains test automation framework

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any IT equivalent
• 3+ work experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Strong knowledge of Software Quality Assurance methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• In-depth knowledge of software testing, types and related activities
• Experience with automated testing and direct hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
• Experience with test design, creation, execution, and reporting of manual test cases
• Knowledge of Selenium, Python, Jenkins, Postman or similar tools
• Software test related qualifications (e.g. ISTQB) would be advantageous

• Competent in MS Office
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency in English, German is an strong advantage
